Richti’s Gorge refers to a gorge in Crete, Greece. It is a state protected park near Exo Mouliana Sitias, starting from the traditional village of Exo Mouliana, located on the highway of Agios Nikolaos and Sitias and ending at the secluded beach of Richtis, just east of the village of Kalavros. The hiking trail is about 4 km long with easy (spring/summer/autumn) to moderate (winter) difficulty. Rich vegetation (mainly plane trees, wild berries and local flowers and herbs) and animal life (mainly local species of butterflies, small reptiles, birds and small mammals) can be seen along the way, as well as old stone bridges and watermills before it culminates with the Waterfall and the beach of Richtis, making the path in the gorge of Richtis one of the most varied hiking experiences in Crete.
